Not really were through to the next round regardless. But we can't f*ck up like this in the knock out stages!

We're gonna play the team that finish as number 3 in the other group, group F, IF we finish as nr 2. Please let it be Qatar, I want to see them get humiliated!!

Nope, if we finish nr 2 we shall play nr 3. Check on Wikipedia.

Our players simply lack professionalism. They have ZERO game management skills. Sometimes i feel like Hamed learned Nothing from 4 yrs of NBA.

Lol, my point was 3 or 5 (especially 5!) I wouldn't consider early.

Proud 2b part of #TrotsRabbleDogs as a working class dog, Oz Corbynite & jaded republican.

You check it and see I said in Semifinal not quarters. Both Iran and China can advance from quarters but in Semi we will have to play against China (the host) if we become #2

What the FUCK was that God-awful performance in 3rd and 4th quarters. Ugh.
Expecting to get screwed over by Palestine and pleasantly surprised when we don't. :P

It's our Islamic duty to let them man handle us.

SO as everyone is aware Iran lost 87-73.

                    Negatives
                    -----------
Lack of composure. Even with 3 minutes left in the game Iran easily could have taken control but they were making the wrong play and committing really bad mistakes.
Samad and Haddadi cannot play that bad again. They are the team leaders.
Yes, the refs were fucking horrible. They were very bad and biased, but Iran has known about this for about 5-6 years now.
Lack of penetration. Way too much perimeter play. Iran can win every 1-on-1 physical match against Filipino players (except for Blatche).
Turnovers, mistakes, turnovers, mistakes.... Take your time!

                    Positives
                    ------------
If there is ever a good time to lose, this was it. It won't screw the team too much in terms of the quarterfinal match and wakes the team up.
This was exactly how the team needed to be challenged. It was a good simulation of what games against China and South Korea will also be like.
We are still in the tournament. In 2011 the same kind of choke job happened except then Iran choked at the wrong stage. This time they can recover.

To win this whole damn thing we were gonna have to play China anyways, so it doesn't matter what stage it is.

Though, both Iran and Philippines have 7 point, and our goalscorer is better. But is it points between the teams that count??

It's not much of a big deal that we lost this match. If anything, it's a wake up call and an ego killer.

And the coach will step up his game. Well, he has to.

If we lose tomorrow against Palestine (but I'm sure we won't) then that's something to worry about.

P.S. Some people need to stop being negative nancys and act as if we're already doomed. If this is our mentality, then why even participate?
If we are the champions, we will beat China again.
