well personally i think its blessing in disguise. If he went he would've been back to join Sixers pretty late and could've missed his chances of playing in preseason and that determines everything for his career. It would be nice for our TM to make olympics but lets face it, were not gonna do anything there. Only teams we can beat are some weak african team probably. I rather have Arsalan in NBA than to win another asian championship which doesnt mean much. Our basketball has a while to go, they need to invest in more courts in Iran first and foremost. i'm actually shocked our basketball has become this good without proper teaching.

yes it is a fact that he would have played for TM if sarbazi wasn't the problem.

Thanks for mentioning. Yeah, he has coached the Germany national team for almost 10 years. He also coached Bayern Munich's Baskebtall team and Poland national team.
Good to have a coach like him. Hope he helps Iran qualify for the olympics.

Tomorrow it begins!! Against Japan at 08:30 in the morning CET.
I'll try to wake up to watch it, two other group matches are un-watchable due to time difference
