no, it won't change anytime soon !

btw, two "Iranian-born" athletes qualified for the Olympics in "European Taekwondo Qualifiers" Milad Beigi for Azerbaijan and Raheleh Asemani from "nowhere" !!! Beigi is a big big treat to Mehdi Khodabakhshi. while Asemani most probably will participate in Rio under Olympic flag.

We don't want to lose our number 1 gold medal chance for nothing! But since the draw will be based on ranking and Farzan is currently at number 2, that guy must be ranked 15th/16th to face him on the first round. No? There is no way he would make it to the 2nd round unless he faces Iran.

It seems that Iran'group in the Handball Olympic Qualification tournament will be Poland/Spain/Denmark + Slovenia + Russia.
Nothing is confirmed yet but Croatia isn't going to win the Euro, and it's between Norway, Russia and Sweden for other places but Norway will take the 2nd european spot most likely and Russia the third one.

If harmony and calm are back in our team, with the full roster, it is not completely out of reach to be in Rio. Slovenia (and Russia of course) will be the team to beat, hard but not impossible.

There will be three tournaments, of which the winning team qualifies for the Olympics.

I am not specialist, but that doesn't seem to be the hardest draw. We have to qualify as top 2 of this group. Then we will probably play against Croatia/Italy in semi-final and win the final against Italy/Croatia/Greece.

Italy will be at home.
