I wish we had a sub-forum where only positive-minded members would have access to it, where all posts were sensible and free of compulsive behavior and comments.

Certain members' mood and comments swing per performance, today upon a great display thy would praise the individual/team, whereas tomorrow with a dissatisfactory performance they will turn the total opposite.

Were we really expecting gold medals/medals in shooting?

Your team cannot always perform well and gain amazing results, otherwise watching sports would have been boring as well. Barcelona a few days ago was beaten 4-0 by Liverpool, who could have guessed that?

If you think of it, we've had Football teams comprises of star athletes yet could never get the job done. We have that I over team attitude and that needs to change..
        Sharkie jaan,

We're one overly emotional nation, and this trait has always been our worst enemy, including our athletes. Often our players fail as result of mental collapse, this flaw was addressed by all Arab nations of the region, for they often in our matches against their team, they finely take advantage of it and perfectly get under our players skin, thus driving them out of their composure and focus.

It's a genetic attribution which applies to almost every single one of us in our daily lives. We lose our cool easily and react immaturely and thoughtlessly.

Give the guy a break. He trained for two straight years on his own without any meaningful support by the federation. On top, the stupid and inconsiderate IRIB team paid him a visit right before his bout, asking him stupid questions and effectively destroying his concentration. In his first interview right after his defeat, Ehsan spoke of the immense public pressure that he felt lying on his shoulders. The very fact that he has to come live on TV to apologize shows what unnecessary pressure these athletes have to shoulder. This guy owes nothing to so-called fans who only care about medals and don't even care to see what this guy had to go through to make it to the Olympics. I feel sorry for him!

Take a look at Iraqi's roster of players. Half of them do not play inside of Iraq. Three of them play for Rizspor where Taremi and Rezaee were supposed to play. Why they left is unknown.

Yes, Iraq should receive tying Brazil.

Side information: In history of Iraq which goes back to 1940, this country has received only ONE bronze medal which was in weightlifting. There were times that Iraq were in peace but created hell for other countries including Iran and Kuwait.

Poor guy. He had lost in another heart breaking way at the last Olympics!

This is the video. It's not about the questions, though they were silly in and of themselves, but the timing. Why would you go interview an athlete some hours before the most important competition of his life? Also, during the interview, Ehsan talks about the messages he received from his fans who were expecting him to win gold. GOLD! That obviously put a lot of pressure on the poor guy. The funny thing is that most of these people don't even care for him to win a medal; all they want is this false sense of pride when they see their country up in the medal ranking. It's just sad.

The guy won 2 games in London and this year in his prime lost his first game in the games. This is called diwngrade and there is no excuse for someone who regularly plays in semi-pro boxing to lose like that in the amatour games. Fans have every right to critise him. Same downgrade happened with Noshad Alamian.
