I doubt that he should leave his overseas team, when he signs somewhere, to join an nba team for a 10 day contract. Wouldnt be smart. When he plays in the d-league, it is smart of course but I doubt that he will play in the d-league for that garbage money

yea im not even sure thats possible to leave your team mid season for a 10 day contract. If D-league wasnt such garbage money, it woulda made sense. But you cant expect a $30K salary and ride around buses to cities in the middle of nowhere.

This whole situation with AK made me realize why NBA turned into such a shitty league. They dont realize real talent, and they just go for hype, commercial type players. They're not gonna invest in some Iranians over some siah from Duke, NC or some top college, no matter how shit they are. Most these NBA players dont even have game IQ. Once Lebron, Kobe and them retire, this league will be dead. Europe will be better one day, some teams there are already better than NBA teams.

have you seen the results of when these Euro teams play NBA teams?

i'm not salty, im realistic about AK and his chances and im not downplaying the league because of him. My analysis are always fair. You know if you followed basketball since the 80s that this generation is garbage. Half the league cant even shoot a jump shot. If Europeans start having as many opportunities and resources as America in basketball, it will surpass US at some point. But its not as popular there and not as many kids go that route.

^^there is a key factor you are forgetting. the ENTERTAINMENT factor. after all the more showman you are the better chances you have making the league, a player needs to have a entertainment side to it as well. some of these CLOWNS are laughable, so much hype around them that after few yeas in NBA they fall of the face of the earth. there are few gems that come and stay for long time the rest are just one hit wonders

some euroleague teams have good results when they play NBA teams in the nba preseason but cmon, that is preseason for the NBA teams were they dont play like they play in the REAL season..they have like 20 players on their roster and their stars dont play more than 20mins per game. The euroleague teams are in their season at that moment..Gotta be realistic, overall, you cant compare NBA teams to euroleague teams...Euroleague teams are overpowered in these matchups, the speed is different too, athletism is different.......NBA is clearly the best league in the world by far....and that wont change anytime soon.

ok you guys seem to misunderstand....i said SOME euro teams are better than NBA teams. IT doesnt mean NBA is inferior, some teams are stronger, some are weaker. There are only 6-7 real good NBA teams, rest of them are whatever. The eastern conference is a complete joke really. And most the good teams are lead by 2-3 really good players, take them out and they're complete garbage.

if you notice also in the all-star game they started doing euro vs. american and the europeans won easily if i remember correctly.

in any case, you guys misunderstood me....all im saying is NBA quality has gone down big time and the way its going itll drop even more.

ALL nba teams are better than euroleague teams, more talent, more athletism. Of course some teams a lot more, some teams a little less but still. NBA players are not in the NBA because they suck, they are better than 90% of the euroleague players. 10 % of these euroleague players just get better pay in the euroleague, so they stay there instead of going to the NBA and giving up their "godstatus" in the euroleague and their pretty good pay. In the US they COULD make more at some point MAYBE but in the euroleague its guaranteed.....in teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Panathinai*, CSKA.... I dont want to say that the worst NBA team will smash any euroleague team but they will physically dominate mainly. Thats my opinion at least.

There are a lot of international role players in the NBA. I don't think it was politics that didn't give him a roster spot. Arsalan is a 6'7 powerforward that can't shoot -- it's not easy and not every team is going to show major interest. Size is huge in the nba, and if you don't have size you're expected to shoot, be crazy athletic or be a lockdown defender (like Tony Allen).

At the end of the day NBA is the greatest lg in the world, but is also an enormous industry. They need to be making millions.
