not only Lovchev, there are soooo many positive tests. almost the whole Azeri team, 3 Kazakh weeightlifters, couple of PRK medalists plus few more from Belarus and Moldova.

for example Ali Hashemi will jump from 8 place to 4th place ! still no medal though.

Even if the counties with multiple doped athletes don't get a ban, this still increases our medal shots in Rio immensely.

It's funny how some people are found doping, whilst others get away with it.

It's all about timing. There are professionals who know exactly the right time to stop the drugs so that it clears the body just before doing any tests.

not really, because we failed to qualify for many weight classes.
Our only real chance for a medal in Rio is in 85 kgs with Kianush Rostami!

Rostami is our number one chance. But weightlifting qualifications isn't based on weight classes. We got 5 places for Rio and we can take lifters in any weight class that we want.

I would say if further injuries don't happen we have 4 good chances for medal, Rostami, Salimi and Moradi all have a chance for gold and Mohammadpour can get a medal too.

^ Sohrab Moradi is the clear favorite for the gold (guaranteed a medal at least) if he keeps his current shape. specially now his 94kg weight is quite empty as world number 2, 3 and 4 all tested positive for doping and will be suspended. but first he has to participate in two IWF sanctioned tournaments to be eligible for Rio. IWF Grand Prix in Tehran (aka Fajr Cup) and Pan American Championship in Colombia ! lol (if you are surprised, he will participate as an invitee)

I doubt Mohammadpuor will be ready in time for Rio but watch up for Mohammad Reza Barari, he is back after 2 years suspension and his training numbers were unbelievably good.
