Paatoop.com- Trinidad and Tobago footballer Jlloyd Samuel who played for Paykan and Esteghlal, and English clubs Aston Villa and Bolton, shared a few words with us.
Where are you living now and what goes on in your daily life?
I’m living in the UK at the minute, as I have been training with teams here . I have had offers but have had talks to play back in Asia and Europe .
You didn’t sign with any team this season. Could you tell us why?
I didn’t sign with a team again for the fact I wanted to see what was the best situation for myself. I also have a few businesses which are for fashion shoes , telecommunications and something that will potentially connect fans and players to football.
You seem to be in good form. Do you want to play for one or two more seasons?
I am in great shape and always go that extra bit further by having personal training and also I’m big into my yoga which I feel I can continue to play for the next 3/4 years .
You had announced on social media that you had problems leaving Iran this summer. Could you tell us about that?
I did find it hard to leave as I found it hard because of tax reasons which I wasn’t responsible for, however I believe things are being fixed slowly which is great news to hear .
Where do you want to start your coaching career?
I have played in the Premier League for over 10 years so with so much experience I believe I can give back a lot one day . I still want to play on a few more years though.
Is Futurz London your sneaker brand? Could you tell us about how it started?
www.futurz.london is my sneaker company as I wanted to use fashion with safety as with my shoes they are fun but children at night can be seen and safe from danger. Many famous players and actors have bought them for themselves and their kids. I also have have a disposable emergency charger that will help you when you can not find a plug socket but need to make that important call for business or loved ones.
Anything else you would like to say?
I would like to say that although I had problems with payments etc in Iran I still think it is a great place and the people welcomed me very well and I would like to one day come back to visit or maybe even play. I have to decide in the next 10 days where I want to play.I believe when you are in the spotlight you will always have critics but for me, if I can go home each night and look myself in the mirror and know if I done well or not, that’s what matters …..
