      yea that was bad approach to the fight....he should've taken it to the ground game

      once his boxing gets better he'll be a beast of a fighter

      he needs to move to US and get better training

        A few additional thoughts:

        - Amir was exhausted going into that fight. He looked timid and sluggish from the bell and any explosiveness from his athleticism was gone. With that in mind he was basically a sitting duck for an experienced and deadly, albeit old, Cro Cop.
        - Amir had taken some big headshots in his two fights. His face was bruised up quite a bit. It's not gonna take much for your bell to get rung when you have already taken some damage. He might have even had a mild concussion BEFORE the Cro Cop fight.
        - For as athletic as he is, Amir's footwork is dogshit. He should be moving a lot more than he is. I blame coaching.
        - Amir really needs to switch camps. Yes he is still pretty green judging from the number of fights hes had, but he's been at AKA Thailand for almost 3 years. Thats a long time for his stand up game to still be this bad. It's a shame he can't come to the US and get some proper boxing instruction. I would LOVE for him to connect with Bisping's coach, Jason Parillo. That would be a match made in heaven. Best MMA striking coach in the game, especially coming from a wrestling background.

                EDIT: oh shit I hope I didn't post about Amirkhani....not only does he carry Kurd flag but also a supporter of Kurdish separatist terrorists.

                He should go to Turkey...they treat Kurd separatist supporters "well" right from their airport arrival

                      UFC Fight Night is coming to Singapore on June 17th. It is set to include American fighters but also a good majority of Asian based fighters in South East Asia. Amir Aliakbari's agent needs to step up. This would be the perfect time and place for him to get his UFC debut.

                        This is not a question about what his agent does. Amir is signed with Paradigm and has a long term training contract with AKA. Both are partners with UFC. The question is only is Amir ready for UFC competition? If his team thinks he's ready its not going to be hard to get him a UFC fight. Visa issues not withstanding.

                          Yeah I know. Paradigm would not have been with Amir if they didn't think he was UFC quality. Look at their client list. Mcgregor, Ferguson, Weidman, Bisping just off the top of my head. Amir's age right now is the perfect time to start in UFC. He had an impressive Rizin tournament. Yeah he lost badly to a CroCop but that was a strenuous tournament and he learned his mistakes. That was end of 2016. He's been training hard and 3 more months to this event.

                          I know visa is not an issue but these UFC fight nights in Asia usually have promising stars making their debut against average opposition. Amir and Paradigm should go for it before it's too late. Even Joe Rogan has talked about Amir in his podcast a few times.
