If you can, I would watch Rena's and Tenshin's fights on that Rizin card as well. Rena is easily my favorite female fighter and Tenshin is a prodigy.

Damn yeah just saw the stats, I missed the fight. It seemed like it was a really close. That sucks, I think Reza was planning on winning in Sweden and retiring. He is 38 now, I think we will only see him fight one more time. His strengths are his wrestling, aggression, and heart, I don't think he has ever been finished. His striking just was never very good.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

It was really close, it could have gone both ways, but honestly I think Reza should have won it if I had to pick one (trying to look at it without bias). Silva fought more "dominantly" as they say, but Reza had more take-downs and overall I think scored more points. Still mad respect for him that at this age he's still able to put up such a fight against top oppossition.Last edited by Amin_; 06-01-2017, 05:11 AM.Persian Pride running through my veins!

Don't know if he has been mentioned before but I had actually never heard of him until just now... Ashkan Mokhtarian - Will be having his UFC debut this weekend against John Moraga.
He is already 31 years old and has had 14 fights in his career, winning 13 of them. Apparently he started with MMA at the age of 25 after having a lot of issues with drugs and serving time and now turned his life around and having his own gym with his brother, the gym is called Australian Top Team.
His weigh-in at 7.14

I'm assuming they are getting payed quite a lot at this level or is this still not at that high level?
Most fighters making their debut (especially ones that are relatively unknown) make dogshit. Probably between $15,000 - $25,000 to show and double that if they win. It barely covers training, etc."Formerly known as AliDaeiClone"

Moraga completely controlled Ashkan on the ground in round 2 and 3 (I missed the first round)... Ashkan was exhausted and had basically not even a punch thrown in those rounds, didn't look that good to be honest, unfortunately. Moraga is ranked 11 and very experienced, it showed.
Fight over. Moraga won on decision.maa bachehaaye iroonim

Very weak performance overall. I understand it was his first UFC fight, but he definitely has a lot to work on. Strange how he tried to wrestle the wrestler, after almost getting caught in two submissions, he still continued to make the same mistakes. His striking was very one dimensional, just straight kick boxing (no fakes, not much movement, etc). His only highlight was a few strong leg kicks that he landed. Other than that, he was just mostly defending the entire fight. I think he has a good base, and he has a lot of heart, but he needs a professional trainer to help him grow.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------
