Boy was i wrong. Nate did have a longer reach and height conor couldnt deal with. But still i think conor coulda taken him if he didnt go to the ground. He made a huge mistake goin down the way he did. He basically served it on a platter to Nate. Lol

      I hope theres a rematch

It was out of desperation he got rocked and wanted time to recover or he would have gotten knocked out

IMO nate diaz should get a shot vs anjos now for the title while conor defends his title vs. aldo (hopefully beating his ass again)
and then having another shot against diaz hopefully or anjos for the welterweight title.

Connor is a HUGE 145er. Moving up is very difficult for people who rely on their size to dominate their weight class. At 170, Connor was average size at best. He hit Diaz with solid shots and Diaz just kept coming at him. I think Connor is extremely overrated. He is a very good athlete with pretty good stand up game, but he's not the world beater that the UFC was touting. Shame their won't be a rematch with Aldo. Doubt Connor can ever make 145 again.

Overall I think Conor has the better stand up, however at 170 he wasn't as powerful as he thought he was. Like Nate says himself, he is used to getting hit by power hitters 2 the size of Conor, So the punches of Conor were nothing that he hadn't felt before.

Conor wrongfully relied to much on his power and probably got desperate seeing Nate taking all does punches like they mean nothing, although getting busted up pretty badly.
Nate caught him with left jab and got Conor in all sorts of trouble. Going for the takedown was purely out of desperation as he was getting knocked out, plus gassed out.

I think Conor should just stick with 145 and 155 for now. Size wise he would be average at 170lb, so only relying on his KO power won't work there. Whenever he works on that as well, he could try to go up again.

Conor capitalized on his length vs. 145ers. Diaz is a few inches taller and has more of a reach. Plus, dude can take a punch. His superior BJJ was going to play out the way it was if they got on the ground.

His win was not a surprise. That's why there is weight limits in the UFC and Conor showed he's at best, a 155er.

See Amir Aliakbari's last two Instagram posts - dude is such a beast (his boxing skills)!

Seems like he didn't fight yesterday. Think the other guy pulled out.

It will go down as a win but he was getting wrecked in the first round. Both fighters gassed and Sloane said he got hit in the back of his head and couldn't continue. Ranjbar doesn't have the future Aliakbari does.

Where did you watch it? Thanks.

Let's hope Amir can win Rizin. Would be huge for him if he wins this tournament. UFC would definitely happen, thereafter.
