      Yeah especially in Rizin. Carwin will be juiced to the gills. However he is no where near the wrestler Amir is.

        That's the thing, the X factor in this tournament is the open weight (allows for a monster like Baruto compete) and the juicing - maybe Aliakbari should start juicing again (sarcasm).

          He doesn't look like he is, but you never know. I honestly don't mind if he were to fight Carwin. I think the nightmare scenario is if he would have to fight Carwin and Cro Cop/Jiri in the same night. Two really good fighters in one night would be brutal.

            Yes, but remember, they will also have two fights in one night as well. It seems Amir's cardio is extremely good - although we wouldn't go byt any of his fights cause they don't go past the first round . But he trains at AKA, where they take training so seriously, their fighters are constantly injured (i.e. Cain, Khabib etc.) lol

            It will be interesting last couple days of December ...

                It's Aliakbari vs. Shane Carwin .... Very tough matchup. Amir needs to stay away from Carwin's fists and wrestle the shit out of him.

                  He definitely should not go into a striking match with Shane, the guy is a crazy strong striker with a lot of experience. He might need to make this an ugly wrestling match, with some ground and pound. If he wins this, he will start to get noticed by bigger organizations. We believe in you Amir!

                    ya im afraid of his stand up game.....how is he at taking punches? thats the real question. You can wrestle all you want but when you're facing a good striker, all it takes is that one punch.

                      Shane's stand up isn't that good (Don't get me wrong he can still knock almost anyone out from the feet). But, he has horrible footwork and telegraphs his punches. His real strength is his dirty boxing in the clinch. He's ridiculously strong and his hands are anvils. If Amir gets in close he has to immediately take him down or tie him up enough to not get destroyed. Watch the Carwin vs. Mir fight as a good example.
