Could also be AKA Thailand for UFC Asian events primarily as well as Russia/Europe. Don't think US is possible for him at the moment but surprised UFC signed an Iranian through this time.

Jones isnt a heavyweight and would only move up for a huge fight against a champion or DC. DC only has maybe 2 or 3 fights left in his career. He will be long retired before Amir is in a position to fight him. I'd love to see Amir fight Greg Hardy. That would be a perfect first or second fight for Amir.

This doesn't surprise me. I know that Amir signed a 4 fight contract with ACA. Amir has only fought 3 times for ACA so he should have 1 fight left. However, the ACA has canceled at least two fights that Amir was supposed to fight in. There also might be a time limit on the contract so that ACA couldn't hold Amir hostage by failing to schedule fights. This will all depend on the exact language of the contract but I am sure it will be worked out soon.

Khabib vs Poirier set for UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi on Sept 7. I expect Aliakbari to be on that card.

Doesnt he still have to fight 1 more in the other organization?
Not sure if this is still the case

Is Amir Aliakbari now under contract with UFC?

He signed a 4 fight deal and only fought 3 times. However, most fight deals have a time period for those fights to occur and also ACA merged with another company which could trigger other mechanisms contractually.

                            Also, looks like ACA conceded:

However, Aliakbari's team paid compensation to ACA for early release! I think it is so ridiculous, he was promised 4 fights in and ACA did not deliver. In my opinion, Aliakbari's team should have not paid a penny to ACA.

So when is actually going to have his first fight? I am pretty sure that he can become champion one day. Fighters with wrestling background show that they are superior to others.
