Assyria is not a country, it's a fake reinvented identity by christian Arabs/Semites.

It's like when an Iranian from Khuzestan like myself will start claiming that i'm Elamite, it's ridiculous if you ask me. But these fake reinvented identities that had died out thousands of years ago are motivated by a political agenda for sure.

Anyone who doesn't consider himself Iranian, even if he is a 100% Shirazi or Esfehani, shouldn't be regarded as Iranian imo.

It really bothers me that Azari separatists are allowed to do the things they do as someone who is half Azeri through a family thats rigidly Iranian and praises people like Sattar Khan

Yes but would you say that in front of them ? i guess it would be deadly. Iranian Kurds are iranians, ( even when 50% at least only say im kurdish when leaving iran).

im not talking about DNA or anything, but accept the facts that you wont find 99% of kurds assyrians armenians ............saying i am iranian when they live outside of iran

Maybe in the PKK related families in Sweden and Germany you have some extremists. However most are very OK with it. I'm one of those Kurds who says he's Iranian (along with the Kurdish side of my family).

Nokhodi i hope nobody gets me wrong.

All iranians are iranians for me , but we have to see the reality, the reality is that you dont find assyrians outside of Iran saying im Iranian( maybe a few)......, same for Armenians, and if an Armenian says im Iranian he somehow always adds that he is Armenian to it.

About Kurds, you cant call Turkish Kurds Iranian, you cant call Syrian Kurds Iranian, and you wont find 1 worldwide who says im iranian. Iranian Kurds are iranian and of the iranian kurds we also have to face the reality that many when they come outside iran call themselfs only kurdish.

I know enough myself, so why should we deny it ?

I only want that you all get me, for me all iranians are fully the same, in talking about whats going on in reality.

About Beneil Dariush, if someone says its strange he uses an assyran flag, tell me about an assyrian outside of iran who uses an iran flag.

I'm talking about Iranian Kurds. I could care less if Turkish or Iraqi or Syrian Kurds don't to be called Iranian.

You know who is Assyrian and uses the Iran flag? Steven Beitashour.

Most of my Assyrian, Armenian and Jewish friends still love Iran....it depends on where you grew up or your parents. Those who were born and raised in Iran, still feel Iranian, the ones you talk about are either born outside or left at young age, or they have insecure parents who have a grudge against something Iranian and raise their kids like that.

That trait is common among many young immigrant kids who grew up outside their motherland. I see kids of other races same way, especially if you are American, they lose interest in anything else outside it. To me those who i've seen not consider themselves Irooni are either some dork online or some highly emotional wreck who lacks self confidence. I dont think i've ever seen people like that tell me these things in person, its always online. Someone says something like that in real life i will probably laugh my ass off.

It absolutely doesn't matter what Kurds think about their Identity, it is a FACT that they are Iranian, that they speak an North-Western Iranian language, are most likely the descends of the Medes and follow ancient Iranian religions and culture. Those who doesn't want to be recognized as Iranians are just dumb.

I did say that in front of them and most of the time they were convinced. That Kurds belong to the iranian people is just a fact.

Some Kurds may not consider themselves as Iranian in the sense of their nationality (they want to create a country named Kurdistan). But they are very much Iranian people as Philosophy King explained. I am Lur myself, and Turkish and Iraqi Kurds often told me that i am Kurdish as well (as they consider us the same), i tell them that we are all Iranian: Persians, Kurds, Lurs etc. They have this stupid form of nationalism that is restricted to Kurdish nationalism (mono-ethnic). It's because they live or lived under Arab and Turkish reign, though some Iranian Kurds also think like this way unfortunately. I also tell them that they will never have their own country, unless they join Iran

As far as modern so called Assyrians are concerned, it's a fake identity, these christian Arabs/Semites have nothing to do with the ancient Assyrians. "Coincidentally" all these new identities emerged at around the same time when the state of Israel was created.

It is true most Armenians and Assyrians do not want to be associated with Iran or be called Iranian.

Most Kurds and Azerbaijani (also some Taleshi, Mazani, Lur, Turkmen) would like Iran to be a Federal Republic so they can have autonomous region with their own flag and language so they like to remain part of Iran.

However, most Baloch, Khuzi Arabs and Khorasani Turks are the ones who dream about having their own country.

Worst of all are Persians (and other Iranians) who like to be paid by Saudi Arabia and other enemies of Iran to betray their country of birth or if they are journalist living abroad or found an opportunity to be on live TV badmouth Iran as a country and mock Iranian culture and people.

I have seen it too, that Kurds claim Lurs as being as Kurds- which is pure non-sense. The Lur & Bakhtiari Language is close related to middle Persian and hence a south-western Iranian language. I think the Lurs are probably the most ancient people of Iran (Descend of the Elamites& Ancient Persians).

Lol I had a chat with a kurdish girl from Iraq. She has a Persian last name. So I just asked her where she comes from, I thought by the way she looks she'd be tajik or perhaps Iranian.

She replied I'm kurdish, I was like okay from which country. Her answer was kurdistan. Then I said again, I got it but from which country are you from. she again replied kurdistan... I was like okay whatever. Then I understood that she's from Iraq. And I tried to explain that there's no country under the name of kurdistan. Kurdistan in Iraq may be an autonomous region but its no way an autonomous country. Anyways she didn't really like it and I just stopped the conversation there.
