Iranians in MMA

Man boring days for iranians in MMA, dont know what will happen to Aliakbari, sadly there is no iranian in UFC like Shalorus and Madadi or Amir Sadollah were.....we have Navid Nasseri fighting Muay Thai soon in ONE FC but cant wait to have an iranian bomb in UFC one day again.

I cant imagine Aliakbari making anything anymore, i guess he will have some more fights in One FC and then have a fight here and there before he finishes his career.

There are several reasons for this.

- Most of our top martial artists/wrestlers have little to no interest in switching to MMA. Aliakbari did so because he was barred from wrestling. Until this changes we won't really have any legit MMA fighters.
- We have absolutely no real coaching/camps in Iran. Aliakbari's downfall started when he switched from AKA Thailand to thinking he could just start a camp in Iran. This was a huge mistake. Not only for himself, but for Iranian MMA as a whole.
- Sanctions have really hindered Iranians ability to travel and train in other countries. Not just for MMA, but for all sports. This compounds the other issues.

Hopefully we get some new blood in the game soon. I had some hope for Heibati but his bullshit in Russia isnt going to get him anywhere.

Aliakbari is done. He might still be under contract with One but he has little to no draw after crumbling to a single punch in back to back fights. I think One will just drop him if they havent already rather than scheduling another fight.
