Dariush should steamroll Gamrot. He's better in all phases. Glad he avoid Islam Makhachev for now. Let that matchup come for the title. We might disagree about semantics when it ccomes to Dariush, but I am still a fan. Rooting for him.
Like I thought. One judge was blind and gave a round to Gamrot but it was a pretty dominant performance by Dariush. Problem is no one is beating Islam.
I think he usually claims/promotes his Assyrian identity, but it's great if he brings attention to the people of Iran.
I would avoid it if I were you. While his first sentence he shows support to the Iranians seeking freedom, his very next sentence is trying to convert them to Christianity and Jesus Christ...

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

That wasn't his attempt to convert them to Christianity lol that's just a thing he always says after his fight. He's just a religious guy.
Damesh garm though for the interview! He's an awesome fighter.
