Iran won the right to host the tournament, automatically qualified for it along with China.

Everyone including me forgot about this.......

Short summary:

We started horribly in the group stage, just making it through as fourth place team.

106-40 (W) v. Indonesia

90-59 (W) v. Kazakhstan

77-81 (L) v. Japan

83-86 (L) v. South Korea

76-54 (W) v. Lebanon

At this point I thought our tournament was over as we had to play China in the QF who hadn't lost a game in their group but......

62-59 (W) v. China

We play South Korea today in the semifinals.

I don't think so, they are mostly winning by team work and playing with heart but some of them Khandanpour and Jafari look promising, not NBA level though.
