I know we have a separate thread for Olympic qualification in other sports, but I thought we would want to follow the volleyball news this way.
Iran is participating in the 1st Olympic Qualifier tonight. Let us all wish them good luck. It is a tightly scheduled tournament and it is an extremely difficult qualification format, but should be exciting.
First match is against Australia (Friday, May 27th, 9:10 PM EST)
2nd game is against Canada (Saturday, May 28th, 9:10 PM EST)
3rd game is against France (Tuesday, May 31st, 2:40 AM EST)
4th game is against Japan (Wednesday June 1st, 9:15 AM EST)
5th game is against China (Wednesday June 1st, 11:55 PM EST)
6th game is against Poland (Saturday June 4th, 2:40 AM EST)
Last game is against Venezuela (Saturday June 4th, 9:10 PM EST)
The top Asian team and the top team in the tournament make it to the Olympics. Its very tough but TM definitely has the ability to at least beat all the Asian teams.

TM is already in Japan by the way for the past week and have had 2 friendlies (against China and Poland, Iran won 3-2 and 3-1 respectively)
