He wasn't "shining" there, had hard time to match with their style of play and most important they could have only and only two foreign players in their League and they had Leon (CUB) and Anderson (USA) both great players.

Yes they won but he was mostly on bench in the latest part of the season, even in the Champions League final he started the match on the bench, even though later came to the match and played an important role for Zenit.

Zenit had 4 foreign players that season, Leon, Anderson, Marouf and Salparov (Bulgarian Libero) but only two of them could play in Russian League, actually they signed with Anderson and Salparov only to play in the Champions League. but since Anderson had a great season they wanted to also use him in their local league for the next season, that was the main reason they released Marouf. he was too expensive to play only in the Champions League.

China serves very well and has speedy players who can score. China is a prepared team. Tough opponent in Asia.

Not a good game, but not surprising and not the end.
France is always tough for us for some reason. I think they're the only top 10 team Iran has never beaten.

Boys need to make sure their confidence doesn't go down and prepare for the game against Japan and then China. These matches are key.

And Japan is playing poland right now, if they lose this one they are basically out. and they have no time to recover for iran game so everything is sakhte pardakhte for iran to beat japan and play one championship final game vs china do or die probably, best case we can afford to lose 3-2 but not 3-0

France is a good team. Iran was not the same Iran that played Australia and Canada.

China will be Iran's competitor. Japan, especially Venezuela, and Australia are out. Since Iran beat Canada, Iran could be one of the top four teams. However, if one team from Asia go, then Canada might be the fourth team.
