World Cups not championships


guys, there is a difference between Wrestling championship and Wrestling World Cup.

World Cup is usually consisting of ard 6-8 teams competing in 8 vs 8 and count the wins... i.e. Iran beat Russia 5:3 = Iran won 5 matches and lost 3 matches out of 8 weights vs Russia.

World Championship, is where in each category is wrestling separately for Gold, Silver, Bronze (same system as in Olympics) and the team with most gold/medals/points wins the Championship
