I don't know anything about Russia but the English are a ridiculously overhyped bunch. They do have an above-average offensive line but their defense will be their undoing sooner rather than later. Frankly, worse than the overhyped English team are their hooligan fans. They cause trouble wherever they go and have already had altercations with the police in Marseille.

Just as I'm typing this, the English fans are booing the Russian anthem.

I heard that Russia naturalized a player called Roman Neustädter for this tournament. Most of their players are domestic based but no players from Rostov though.

I just hope that England gets beaten by any side this tournament because I dislike their fans and their overrated league. Though, I can't deny that they have a more talented and younger core this time around in comparison to previous tournaments, so perhaps they will perform better.

You're right. He received his citizenship only several months ago.

Watching these games is bittersweet for me. I held tickets to Germany - Poland, Sweden - Ireland, and Romania - Switzerland but had to cancel back in March.

I was very critical of Hodgson for his squad selection and it really showed today that he did indeed go with a far too inexperienced squad for his own good. That team looked pretty flat towards the end which is one of the biggest signs of immaturity and inexperience in a team. Leaving out carick and jagielka was a mistake IMO

There was a fight between English and Russian fans. Two English fans are in critical condition. The bang was a fireckracker thrown towards the Russian fans.

nah, disagree mate. The team selection is perfect! It's Hodgson's mentality and his stupid subs!
Kane and sterling played awful. Kane on corner and freekick duty?! wtf!
Should have kept Rooney on, he played good. Subbed Kane for Vardy as his speed would have tormented the slow and ageing Russian defence and played Rashford for that dumb shit Sterling.
