Germany vs Ukraine God match thus far. Real impressed with Ukraine's great display and continuous attacks. Germany got lucky in several Ukraine goal attempts.

Germany won but Ukraine played excellently and a draw would not have been undeserved.

I must say this though - While a 24-team Euro dilutes the number of 'elite' games in the group stages, it gives countries like Ukraine a chance to progress to the next round since the top 4 best 3rd place teams also progress. If a team can play like Ukraine did today, there's no reason why they shouldn't have access to the next round.

Ukraine is one of the dark horses of this tournament for me, they showed their potential today they played a very solid game. Score doesn't reflect it at all, this was the first win by a 2 goal margin so far if I'm not mistaken but I'd argue this was the closest and probably most entertaining game yet.

My other dark horse would be Croatia, if they're ever gonna make a run at the title it's gotta be this year with this squad but they'll have to take advantage of their chances better than they did today AKA mandzukic needs to step up

I watched the whole Germany Ukraine game. There was a whole 25-30 minutes where Ukraine was pounding the shit out of Germany. If it wasn't for heroics by boateng and neuer it could have easily been 2-2 or even in ukraines favor. Ukraine certainly didn't deserve to loose the game. The Ukrainians who mostly play in the Russian league were physically handling the Germans for the most part. My favorite game so far. I hope
Ukraine can also advance to the next round.

The greatest thing you realize about world football is that everyone is getting better. Its not a case of those who suck and those that are elite anymore.

im 25 minutes away from veldrome Marseille stadium. I really wanted to go watch the game and was willing to pony up 220 euros for it but I anticipated this and didn't go. Thank god!! I'm still thinking about going to Poland vs Ukraine. It's only 25 euros!

25 Euros is nothing that's going to be a GREAT match, both will be hungry for 3 points. Don't pass up that opportunity us in America would die for the chance to see that game!
