Turkey looked hopeless, I'm glad they're out.

Turkey was garbage. They were so slow, had zero counter attacks, at times they were blind and couldnt see their teammate making a run. They had bad passes and bad finishing. Its crazy to think how good they were in 2008 and how far they've fallen.

Iran was playing USA in FIVB World League during the 2nd half, so I see why they did that. With that said, It was better off to show either the whole football match on IRIB Varzesh or the volleyball game. At least its better now a days because IRIB Varzesh exists. If it didn't exist, IRIB woudn't even show the 2nd half of the football match.

You live in Marseille? There was few locals selling tickets for about 40 euros.

I was there for the England game! I also met Robert Pires and Marcel Desailly, they were on the same train as me next day (marseille-paris)

As soon as minnow teams like Ireland have to go forward, they immediately get pounded with 3 goals against top teams or more because it's wide open.

Now it's quite understandable that these teams like Ireland, Albania, Turkey and such resort to mostly defensive football and rely on counter attacks etc.

I guess we will see more bigger scores from now on as the minnow teams have to win games also.

Iceland - Hungary game reminds me of our own PGL, even the pitch pretty much reminds me of PGL.

I still believe Spain will win it. They so far play the best football.

And yet another last minute goal in this tournament. Hungary equalizing the game on the 87th. Minute with Iceland's own goal.

Boy that gotta suck big time for one to score on his own goal in such crucial math at such critical moment close to the end of the match. What a horrible feelings is that?

Austria - Portugal kinda reminds me of our game against Portugal in 2006. With the exception, that Portugal has been much stronger then.
