yup. The young guys who finished 2nd and 3rd in 66 and 70 finally came to their own in winning the 72 euro and 74 WC.
They keep talking about how Spain and france are the only teams to hve won the WC and euro back to back. They fail to mention how the Germans won the Euro and WC back to back!

Italy and Germany will always have close games. Italy is so good at defending that it kills the game. Credit to Italy they did well this tournament, but they could have played better vs. Germany. Germany deserved it more though.

That was not the only moment during the match when they showed a 10/10 Icelandic woman in the stands. I can recall at least another scene.

Portugal will lose I suspect. Wales even without Ramsey will be too strong. They came from a difficult qualifications group with Izrael and Cyprus. Portugal easy group.

I think Wales have played very well so far and Portugal have been terrible, but Wales are missing a key player in Ramsey, and Portugal have been getting better as the tournament progresses so I think Portugal will.

This wasnt the worst Italy team of all time? I bet 90% of people didnt even know who Parolo, Giacherrini, Sturaro, De Sciglio, Eder were until now. Half the starters were Serie B players 4 years ago.

This wasnt the best German team of all time? Every position on that team is very well known and regarded as world class by many. Also, compared to past times the International scene is very weak so there isnt much competition for them. Only teams that could perhaps beat them are Italy, Spain, France (we shall see), maybe Argentina (?)

To claim that this team which reached the quarterfinals and was eliminated on penalty kicks is the weakest Italy of all time, when in the not so distant past we've has Italian teams eliminated in the 1st round of the World Cup or European Championship, is absurd. That's not even counting the more distant past where Italy would fail to qualify at all for the World Cup or European Championship.
