Let's not get offended he chose Azerbaijan. Biggest reason Iranians do that is not because of money but because he wouldn't have been able to go to olymoucs 4 years ago or world champions 3-4-5 years ago unless he switched his nationality because we had guys better than him, including Taleb Nematpour.
Reason Azrbaijan Greco Roman has gotten so good is that 2012 Iran's assistant coach was hired by Azerbaijan.
In addition, I was in the hotel when Iran's Greco team met with Azerbaijans al the wrestlers were chill with tahmasebi and the ex assistant coach
Also, when I spoke to a freestyle Iranian wrestler and asked him what they think of those who represent different nationalities for Iran, they say they don't care and understand them.
The nationality thing offends me when an Iranian is a good athlete and he chooses to go somewhere else. But if he's second choice for Iran and can't work there, I really don't care if they go elsewhere. They spent their whole life training and know nothing else. Might as well try to compete in tournaments with a different country
By this logic none of us should criticize Qatar since none of their players are likely good enough to start for their mational teams of birth and they definitely need to take a shot at playing in WC...I mean that is every soccer player's dream isn't it?

thanks, great info! i had heard everyone was on good terms.
just to clarify, i didn't mean ex-iranian patronizingly, just that he used to compete for iran.
They have every right to. Unbelieveable to be robbed TWO times in a row!!
ONLY thing I'm shocked about is, that it didnt seem they gave 100%, they didnt get fully into it, I wanted to see the ressulst of constant training 6 days a week, I was shocked to say the least. I expected them to throw their opponents around. I was missing the speed, the technique :/ I thought I felt for the fencer, but this guy is something else
Impressive loss by sourian. He just did not have the stamina needed for olympic wrestling this time around. He literally collapsed in both matches after the first few minutes..
How the F is that even possible? what happen? how in history can you be up 6-0 and end loosing? Story of Iranians in in Rio, how did all this happen today? What did that Kazak guy do?
