Yes. We have a 20% chance tonight if Salimi can perform in clean and jerk with his injured knee. He needs to lift around 250kg in c&j and I am sure he will top the list in snatch.

We have two very likely chances in Taekwondo. Just pray that Farzan doesn't face Israel tomorrow and that Mehdi khodabakhshi can beat the other strong Iranian who represents Azerbaijan.

We have an outside chnace of 1 gold in freestyle too. Most probably Hasan Rahimi.

I was surprised when people were expecting many gold medals from wrestling and thought I was joking when I predicted this performance the night before greco started.

I am writing it here again. Freestyle will be no differenet. Nasiri, Reza yazdani, komeil ghasemi and Alireza karimi will not win a medal.

The only 2 contenders are Hasan Rahimi who could win a silver/bronze and possibly but unlikely gold if he faces an easy draw, and super talented Hasan Yazdani who is unlikly to beat Jordan Barows but should win silver/bronze.

i said the same thing. i'm sorry but i love the few posters in this forum who actually are real experts. others come in this forum once every 4 year and say we will won gold

Bana is an amazing coach and I hope to god when the team returns back no one starts talking shit and asking for his head. He took us to the top of the greco world and he can do it again.

What I hope for however is that we bring in new blood. It seems like we have the same wrestlers competing every single year. Wrestling is part of our culture, there is a wealth of young talent waiting to be discovered.
