Anyone who is upset over reza's situation, please watch the italy v aze match and the puerto rico vs uzbek match. Everyone is getting robbed. This is not limited to being an anti-Iranian problem, it is a ex-Soviet/pan-Turkic issue now. Any country of Turkic origin is being ushered through the games. Both those guys arguably got robbed worse than Reza. It's a terrible situation and clearly $-related, but maybe it feels a little bit less isolating when you realize everyone's getting screwed over.

To summarize the uzbek puerto rico match:

They took a 4 point puerto rico move and made it a 2 point uzbek move though the uzbek at no point was scoring a point. All of the audio on the judges table is recorded. Two judges were saying two blue, and the Russian guy saying two for red. They raised the placard for 2 points to blue TWICE, then when the Russian judge saw he was being overruled by majority, he called over another judge and the mat ref (WHO ORIGINALLY EVEN CALLED IT FOR ONE BLUE! no red points!) and asked them, both of them said two red, and the points went to 2 red. It was the most blatant and obvious bribed officiating I have ever seen, perhaps worse than any Iranian match. There was no hmming and hawing about that move. It was 4 blue.

This was after they had given the uzbek 2 points instead of 1 for a move when they were so out of bounds they were almost off the elevated platform.
