Interesting to see the Korean referee suspended too. I forgot to mention Koreans in my pervious post, they're up there with the Russians and Turks when it comes to cheating in sports.

Overall this Olympics has been a absolute joke plagued with corruption. It's not only us getting fucked! The British got disqualified in the relay without any reason so the Brazilians could go through to the finals. Boxing was another absolute joke and we all saw the wrestling and weightlifting. I'm sure other sports which we didn't pay attention had the same issue.

Just heard of the Mongok Uzbek Matchup and what happened. After watching the Final seconds of the Match i must admit that i can absolutely understand that they gave the Uzbek the last Point and he finally won. The Reason he was awarded the last point was because the Mongol guy was only running away from him on the matt for the last cruical 15 seconds of the Match and that not bein enough....he startet celebrating hands up right in his face with still nearly 10 seconds to go....let alone the fact his coaches entering the matt while still 3 seconds to wrestle on clock....im with you about a lot of fishy calls we have seen these olympics and sadly some of them on our guys but the Mongol just robbed himself in this case.

give me a break. it was only a few seconds at the end and MANY other wrestlers evade at the end. to make that close of a call to REVERSE the win in a MEDAL match at the OLYMPICS is nonsense. otherwise you should be arguing varner should have lost to azb for evading the last few seconds of his fight as well.

In Yazdani's gold medal match, neither wrestler did anything the last 5-6 seconds but stand. Yazdani's opponent gave up trying to take him down, but the ref didn't penalize either.

What an absolutely bogus statement. I didn't see ONE person on Social Media agree with this assessment. But we have one on PFDC. What a joke.

I agree, it is not even fun to watch anymore. All these weird rules destroyed wrestling and turned it into a circus. They should replace it with Brazilian jiu jitsu, Wushu (Sanda) or Sambo.
Wrestling at the moment is a big joke and I had this opinion long before the 2016 olympic games.

Sorry but the only bogus in here is that you guys either did not see the final seconds at all or you just dont want to realize that what happened was 1000000% LEGIT! Do your homework next time before you come out and start talking BS.
To show you guys that the move was actually LEGIT lets take the final seconds apart.
Match is 7-6 in favour of Mongol and we are at 5:50 so still 10 seconds to go!
Match still 7-6 for Mongol and we are at 5:55 so still 5 seconds to go......what happens now after Mongol did "run away" last 5 seconds before 5:55 is that he runs away and starts raising his hands up and celebrate right in the face of his opponent.....his ooponent still after him trying to get points from him.....you guys right...Mongol is a true PAHLEVAN running away last 10 SECONDS like a chicken and starting to Celebrate right in Opponents face with both hands up and still running.....Again youre right my POV is absolutely "bugus"...this is true Sportsmanship the Mongol shows here at Olympic Medal Match.
And just in Case you did miss Yazdani GOLD MEDAL MATCH.......YAZDANI SCORED THE WINNING POINTS AT 5:52!!!!!!!!
Also his coaches running "on" matt celebrating at 5:58......alone this can be a reason for a penalty...let alone the unsportsmanship fact!
FACT is: Judges decided to award the UZB 1 Point because of unsportsmanship of the Mongol and regarding the facts you just read above they had every fckn right to do so and im GLAD they DID!
                          Lesson over!

Lessons to be learnt in wrestling from this Olympics:

                            1. Dominate and win clearly (easier said than done at world class level)
                            2. In general youth seems to have won over experience so consider promoting our younger wrestlers and give them greater exposure on the international stage. Sending your strongest team to win World Cups that don't matter (in terms of ranking or qualification) is all well and good but all you get is kudos.
                            2. Don't rely on the referee
                            3. Don't rely on the jury
                            4. Expect to be at least one point down if you face an opponent from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan or Russia (fill in the blanks if I've missed anyone)
                            5. Expect to face your countrymen who've traded in their country for financial gain

Feel free to add to the list if I've missed anything!

PS. BusiG is correct about the Mongolian. He was fucking stupid. All he had to do was put his head down and stand his ground. He could have pulled his pants down and ran around naked flashing at everybody for all I cared ... BUT ... only after the end of the fight!

The mongolian was definitely unsportsmanlike and should have been cautioned. The match should have been whistled to stop time wasting, but giving the point was harsh.

To be fair the mongolian was an idiot and should have “pretended" to at least wrestle and do whatever after the whistle. Nonetheless it was a harsh decision as we have seen other wrestlers bite their opponent and not get penalized today!
