There are always gaps between
1 How a nation sees itself
2 How a nation THINKS other countries see them
3 How other countries actually think of that country
2 and 3 may be reversed in some pessimistic countries but most keep this order.
Iran in particular has a very large gap between 2 and 3.
Iran thinks of herself as an honorable and classy people well respected by "true sportsmen" around the world, always getting screwed but never screwing others, holding up the highest ideal of true sportsmanship.
They also think this opinion is shared by all except the worst of her enemies like Arabs, Koreans, Americans etc.
But that is not how the rest of the world sees Iran.

Austria invested $20 millions & 4 years in a few sports and only got a bronze. It's very competitive out there.

1. Dominate and win clearly (easier said than done at world class level)
2. In general youth seems to have won over experience so consider promoting our younger wrestlers and give them greater exposure on the international stage. Sending your strongest team to win World Cups that don't matter (in terms of ranking or qualification) is all well and good but all you get is kudos.
2. Don't rely on the referee
3. Don't rely on the jury
4. Expect to be at least one point down if you face an opponent from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan or Russia (fill in the blanks if I've missed anyone)
5. Expect to face your countrymen who've traded in their country for financial gain
Feel free to add to the list if I've missed anything!
PS. BusiG is correct about the Mongolian. He was fucking stupid. All he had to do was put his head down and stand his ground. He could have pulled his pants down and ran around naked flashing at everybody for all I cared ... BUT ... only after the end of the fight!
