Yes it seems that's the likely outcome but nothing is guaranteed in life let alone sports. Lets just hope for an epic upset. Any result is possible.

Guys for now irans volleyball getting in final eight in their first olymlics is an excellent achievement . They are ranked ten in the world so to be in final eight is basically already over achieving . We know that our volleyball team isn't ultra consistent and can play incredible at times , and also poor at times . If we get a bit of luck anything is possible . It's just one game .

USA, we beat them once in Tehran but just before, they raped us twice in California+ in the USA in World league and once in Tehran.
France, they beat us all the time
Maybe we beat Italy and Brazil more, but Brazil don't stop beating us recently.

Forget the world league! This is the Olympics and it is played on neutral ground.
In the world league you have home and away games with the home team usually winning and away teams only occasionally pulling a win. Iran has beaten all the top teams of the world regularly, but this doesn't mean anything either here.
What we know is that individually we are on par with the rest of the world. The difference is made by the most disciplined and tactical displays.
On Wednesday we have to show a concentrated effort, and we have to gain the momentum from the beginning winning the first set. Then a win is absolutely realistic.
Plus we have the advantage that our coach is more experienced. We are set in the tactical part, only our players have to come through in the discipline section. The rest will be gheyrat.
