Seriously though, the Georgian was banned for only 2 years after doping - if he starts doping that young do you really think he would have stopped?

And again, that's not behdad lifting, is it?

Let's say his form was poor. Ok.
There has to be consistent Refereeing then.
Many other lifters were showing poor form but got away with it.
And when the head of the weightlifting federation goes to the juries and makes them
Change their minds after 3 white lights that is truly a disgusting act.

Corrupt fuckers. They didn't want Iran to get 3 gold in this.

Horrible coaching. It's irrelevant if his lifts good or not.give him a 240 to start with for a medal then and only then go for gold

I wouldn't be surprised if they have had the talks behind the scenes for wrestling also.

In athens he broke the c&j record 263 kgs.
the total record (snatch + c&j) he broke in 2000 sydney, 472 kgs!
today the georgian lifted total 473!

I guess we all agree that gold was kinda out of reach considering Salimi's injury and also seeing how this guy smashed the overall WR!

However, the silver medal could and should have been secured had the coaches played it smarter had they started with a few kilo's less!

Jury, judges, injuries aside, the coaches messed up too and collectively all of these cost us and Salimi a certain medal!

So after all these years a Georgian broke our record?

would Salimi had broken the record if he didnt get disqualified?

I agree gold was out of reach, but had the Jury given the second lift, we wouldnt complain about coaches!
they could have screwed salimi even if he lifted 236 kgs!

Guys, the hopes we had for this Olympics are over, with all this shit, I doubt anything can save it. Let's enjoy the rest of the ride, we/Iranian federation must find some way to fight back on all this BS in the future.
