We should desintegrate this sport from iran : popular widely shown on tv, youngs winning world trophies, decent amount of quality foreign coaches and legionnaires and we s... Big time! Absolutely shameful
Btw it also shows how an Iranian coach completly destroy our national team (like gn is doing for football). They just have a short honey moon at the starts thanks to previous coach work and remaining stars

shameful performance.
apparently players are goshad too because we can’t get relegated from VNL this season. It’s expanding next season so the bottom 2 stay up.

we just beat Netherlands. Why do we have such a bipolar team?

the problem is that we do not have good training camp and our league is not that good, also there is a lot of party bazi in player and coaching selection. so in every tournament the first few games for us is just a warm up, players are trying to figure out their role etc. Once we get going the tournament ends. I bet you if we had another 10 more games we would win most of them, because we just found the ingredient for the team. I guess what i am trying to say is that the best players are not taken to the tournament or the coach staff is not the best plus we do not have good training camps.
We probably have a top 20 league.
Players are relatively well paid.
Its good enough that a guy like Nimr (from Holland) has played in it with less complaints than our players.
Maybe our training camps aren't as great as let's say Japan's or France's, but they're at an acceptable level. Our volleyball federation at least has some influence, pull, and a plan (even if it doesn't work out right).
We have a system of coaching which allows us to have a production line type system where good players constantly come up because we have done the groundwork at youth levels and it is giving fruit.
You didn't make this comparison, but the gap in terms of all aspects of volleyball in Iran compared to football is almost infinite.2
The head coach we have now (Akbari) was Paes' assistant.
They could have figured the selection stuff way earlier.
I think the players behave like kids at times and can't put aside petty differences for the sake of the team.
We've had a decade plus of high level volleyball at all levels. Yes we are having a change of guard, but that doesn't mean there hasn't been plenty of opportunity.
