Iran volleyball team has moved to the 7th world ranking. They collected 50 pts from the Olympic. The new world ranking is as follow.


Brazil, Poland, America, Italy, Russia and Argentina are ranked first to sixth in the standings while Canada, France, Serbia, Germany, Egypt, Cuba, Japan, Australia, Bulgaria, Finland, Mexico, Belgium and China follow Iran by occupying the eighth to twentieth places in the latest international ranking of FIVB.

Olympics RIO was surely a great experience for the team and a step in the right direction!

Thank God Volleyball is not as Por Hashiyeh as our football, they will improve slowly step by step and get better!

We badly needed the points from Olympic. that 50 pts is huge! with that 50 pts we will be in the top 10 for at least the next 4 years.

Very good. The next step is slowly infusing more of the young players into the main team and continuing to develop the junior and youth teams.
The massive foundation of Iranian volleyball's massive rise is basically 10 years of having elite youth teams.

Bank Sarmayeh wins the Asia Club Championship in Myanmar. They beat the Qatari team.

Bank e Sarmayeh will represent Asia in the FIVB World Club Championship.

Looks like Lozano's contract with Iran has been expired he will become the new NT coach of Poland.

i hope iran goes with antiga he i very good and better than lozano cause he can speak in english i think lozano only spoke spanish

Lozano was a so-so coach, yaani, not too bad, not too good.... but better than the Serbian coach.

Experience in coaching and credentials are important. Holding coaching classes inside of Iran must be one of the requirement of new signing.

Most of the money is allocated to men's volleyball. Women are improving and attention also must be placed on women.

to be honest I was not really impressed with Lozano as well. he just did not fit in as well as Kovaj or valasco

Looks like Igor Kolakovic became Iran's new NT coach. He coached Serbia from 2006 until 2014. Stoychev was another candidate.

Hope whoever takes the job lasts longer than Kovac and Lozano, but the new coach has to deal with Bazikon salari.
