    this was very bad L.

    question is
do we belong in the A POT of the world
league ? did we go through just one
    generation great players in maroof
and mossavi and bunch? and now we are back to
    reality.
Disagree. New players have been tried and tested at best your levels internationally.
They need senior team experience now. Perfect tournament to get experience.
The players are good and this game should not have been allowed with less than 24 hrs rest.

        kateb jan,

From 2011 to now, our U21 team has finished as low as 12th, and as high as champions in the U21 volleyball championship. These are not just random results. There is clear systematic process in Iran where players are scouted, developed and excel in Iran. We have decent clubs, half decent facilities, good coaches. We follow the right process.

Look at the players we have below. We used to dream of such players. They just need more experience. Now is the time to replace the older generations. We are going to get some bad results. It will pay off eventually.

Bardia Saadat,- age 19 height 2.06 m, playing in Italy
Porya Yali, age 23, height 2.10 m, paying in Iran
Aliasghar Mojarad, age 24, height 2.06 m, playing in Iran
Javad Karimi, age 24, height 2.04 m, playing in Belgium
Amir Hossein Esfandiar, age 23, height 2.09, m, plays in Belgium
Meisam Salehi, age 23, height 1.98 m, plays in Poland
Saber Kazemi, age, 23, height 2.05 m, plays in Iran
Amir Hossein Toukhteh, age 21, height 2.03 m, plays in Serbia

In volleyball, Iranian coach can definitely do well. Just needs some backing and fairness from media and public.

Yeah, they played fantastic vs USA. Big test tomorrow against Brazil.
This win should give the boys the boost needed to give Brazil a run for their money.

BTW iranian coach is the way to go.
Our strategy for VNL this year playing the new generation is spot on.
Ataei is also the right man to lead this team as he’s been working with many of them in U17-19.

We will lose tomorrow. We don't do well with less than a day's rest. What's important is these kids have shown they have ability to beat very good teams (keeping in mind they've lost to "weak" teams as well). Great experience gained in a tournament that doesn't really matter too much.

Our goal right now should be qualification for Paris 2024 - our main rivals will be Japan who are hitting their stride right now.

You never know. I honestly thought we would lose 3-0 today, the way things been going.
The less than a day rest is an issue though, agreed.

This year is different and top 8 will qualify for the next round.
We’re currently 9th… Top 8 would be an amazing achievement for this young team.

the no rest issue is an issue right now becuase team is lacking depth.

                              He has great charisma.
You could see the boys have big respect for him.
