It's the same problem our successful u17 football team have, they fall in a black hole after. If we don't solve the senior and youth/senior transition problems, all these youth title will be useless

Volleyball is different.
We have consistently good performances at all youth levels including world champiionships.

Remember in volleyball our expectations are to compete with the very best.

Whereas in football, we just want to be there and beat the B teams.

Roberto Piazza is the new iran coach. Finally a competent foreign coach.

Hopefully our football will learn very quickly from it and correct the GN mistake

The new coach is ranked 12th in the world according to https://volleybox.net/coaches/ranking

for comparison, the previous coach is ranked 107th

Behrouz Ataei (the coach before that) is ranked 389th

Foreign TM coach Velasco is 10th in these rankings

Hopefully this new competent coach will be able to help turn our fortunes around and get our volleyball back on track

We are Iranians though so naturally our players will listen more simply because he's a foreigner.

in a different news, FIVB had an inaugural U17 championship this past week. Our U 17 finished 5th. good result. They lost to italy who won the championship. Argentina finished 2nd, Taiwan finished 3rd and Spain finished 4th.

Asia Club Championship is going on in Yazd Iran. Both teams from Iran are in the final. The first place team and second place team will qualify for the FIVB World club championship in India in December.

Foolad sirjan and shahdab yazd.

Japan, China, Korea and australia did not send representative this year.
