I saw it on CNN Sports News, and they said Iran's Mohammadpour was given the GOLD medal at 94 kgs at London 2012.

I don't think this article says they already given the medals, hey are expected to win the medals. even though this Polish most probably won't give anything and the bronze medal will remain blank.

IOC has a well updated website. same as IWF, when they disqualify someone they announce it officially, same as this one
      https://www.olympic.org/news/ioc-san...at-london-2012

check this link for their list of disqualified athletes, none of these 4 guys above Mohammadpour are disqualified yet.

even disqualification from IOC is just the 1st step, still it wll be up to IWF to re-award the medals or not.

I'm fully aware of this process , fyi I was the first person who contacted Mohammadpour himself and told him about the story. if you want to think this is a done deal, fine for me, but this is wrong.

Is it true that the IWF website is now blocked to users in Iran?

          yes it is

btw this is a very good link regarding the re-testing. read this, explains everything.
          http://www.iwf.net/anti-doping/reanalysis/

as you can read here, only one case is completely finished. for the rest , still ongoing .

          London 2012

          M85

          AUKHADOV, Apti (RUS) ongoing IOC
          TSIREKIDZE, Rauli (GEO) ongoing IOC

          M94

          CIRICU, Anatoli (MDA) ongoing IOC
          ILYIN, Ilya (KAZ) ongoing IOC

          ZAIROV, Intigam (AZE) ongoing IOC
          UTESHOV, Almas (KAZ) ongoing IOC
          IVANOV, Alexandr (RUS) ongoing IOC
          DEMANOV, Andrey (RUS) ongoing IOC

these guys in red are important for Iranian weightlifters, that Aukhadov guy finished 2nd above Kianoush Rostami and his disqualification will result in a silver medal for him (instead of bronze) and those 4 guys at 94kg, they all finished above Mohammadpour, if they disqualify all of them (which is likely to happen) Mohammadpour will be the Olympic Champion.

IOC officially banned Apti Aukhadov, which means Kianoush Rostami is one big step closer to his rightful silver medal, still this needs confirmation from International Weightlifting Federation.

Finally IOC officially banned 3 of 4 weightlifters above Mohammadpour, they banned Ivanov (2nd place), Ciricu (3rd place) and Demanov (4th place), still nothing about the gold medalist Ilya Ilyin !! I just hope he can't get away with this because of being a role-model in this sport.

still this was just the 1st step (even though the most important one) now it's up to IWF to adjust the ranking. will take few more months.

and finally, Ilya Ilin lost both of his gold medals officially !
                  https://www.olympic.org/news/ioc-san...nd-london-2012

now I think it's only matter of time before IWF closes the case and re-award those medals.

Kianoush Rostami is now officially the Olympic silver medalist from 2012, IWF officially removed Aukhadov from the list.
