He won 6-1. Not seen him as dominant as this in terms of his range of shots and playing so will with both hands. As per Shaun Murphy and Steve Davis there is no one playing as well as him in this tournament.




He just got arrogant on frame 6 and played a silly shot but apart from that was perfect

His issue has been consistency. In the tournaments I have seen him play, one game he looks the best player in the world and the next is riddled with mistakes. He needs to be more patient.
Anyway, well done Hossein. Abadan legend.

I agree, last time he let the occasion get to hIm. Played shots that weren’t there.
I know he was a tournament before but a win today really puts him on the map.

Ronnie's taken it up a gear as expected. Even though they are "now friends" deep down i'm sure he wants to keep going at Vafaei to put him in his place after those comments.




Hossein is playing very well but psychology at the highest level of any sport is something else and he is still too emotional
