This could be the breakthrough match for Vafaei, Trump has beaten him several times before and is in great shape, just had a 147 break (perfect score in snooker) in his previous mach
if I understand the rules correctly, Vafaei has to be in top 64 in the World Ranking to not get relegated from the professional level. he missed so many tournaments because of his visa issue and that's why he is this low in the ranking. (currently 71) with only one tournament left this year (which is the World Championship) he has only two chances left to collect enough points.Comment

Vafaei just beat Trump 5-3 and made it to the semifinal,
this is his first ever semifinal in a professional event. he will face Mark Williams from Wales tomorrow morning.
