Btw, he is the fastest man of Iran (Record of 10s04 last year in Madrid : 100m).

He is training in the INSEP structure (home of most French athletes). I trained several times in one of the place he is training (see the video).

In France the tenniswomen, Aghavane Rezaei help him as a translator.

His current french coach finds his previous trainings and way of running "unclassic"

London 2017 World Championships: Taftian finished 5th in his heat with a time of 10.34s in the 100m and didn't qualify for the semi-finals. Disappointing.

He was in Hossein Balt's heat. These starting blocks are a bit odd though, and Taftian struggled in the start.

Still, it's good to have an iranian up there!

He recently won the Gold at the Asian Championships this June in India, upsetting the 'Qatari' Femi Ogunode

Haddadi had a surgery just few months ago, this result was therefore expected.
I want to see what he will do next year, if he is finally free from injuries.

Great news: Taftian won the 60m at the 2017 Asian Indoor Games in Ashgabat with a time of 6.55s, which is his personal best at this distance.

It is possible that we will have two iranian-blooded 100m sprinters in the Olympic semi-final/finals!

If anyone saw Adam Gemili's relay leg this world champs, you know how fast that guy is. Okay he is half-iranian, but he is a really nice guy and proud of both sides of his heritage.

It would be nice if he breaks the 10-second barrier in the 100m. There are only six non-black sprinters to do so in the history of the 100m.

                          Christophe Lemaitre (France)
                          Patrick Johnson (Australia, half Aboriginal)
Adam Gemili (UK, half Iranian & half Moroccan)
Ramil Guliyev (Turkey, naturalized from Azerbaijan)
                          Yoshihide Kiryu (Japan)
                          Su Bingtian (China)
