It started yesterday and Iran beat italy 3-0. Very good start, we play ukrain today and Argentina tmw. Looks like our youth volleyball teams are all doing good, the future looks bright and we need it to after our recent performances from the senor side.

This is one of the most talented (if not the most) teams in our history. I realized it the day they won the Asian championships without losing a single set!! Rasool Aghcheli and Asghar Mojarad will be the names you will hear in the next decade a lot.

We won the first 2 set comfortably. Were leading the set 3 until 23-22 and we suddenly lost confidence.

Iran qualifies to the last 8 with that victory combined with Argentina victory over italy, Iran vs Argentina is on now the result don't matter as both teams have already qualified .

Iran beat Argentina in full sets, even though we qualified for the quarters already getting that win was satisfying.

Now we are in a pool with Poland China and Cuba, had we finished 2nd we would have had the group Argentina has now which features Brazil Russia and Canada, so finishing 1st was important. The top 2 from each pool move on to semi finals. Our first match is against Cuba tmw.

We came back from 2 sets down but unfortunately at the end we lost 3-2, tmw we will play China in a key match up.

Iran ahead 2-1 but looks like we are gonna lose the 4th set and are headed for yet another 5 setter game all of our games so far except the first game against Italy which we won 3-0 have been five setters.
