we could have a very good chance with a 3-1 win today but now with 3-2 our chance is not really good. we have to beat Poland which is probably the best team of the tournaments (or at least one of the bests) Poland won the world youth Champs 2 years ago and this is almost the same team.
we will have CUB-CHN before our match, the best result for Iran is a 3-2 win for China. in this case maybe even a 3-2 defeat wll send us to the semies and Poland will be qualified before the match and may use the bench players.Comment

Cuba just beat China 3-1 so Iran needs to win against Poland by any score and we are through including 3-2 and poland is already through now so they might take it easier although they will try to win to face the other groups second team instead however if they win just a set they will be guaranteed top place in the group .Comment

Unfortunately Iran threw away a 2-1 lead and ended up losing 3-2 again, this must be a record as it was irans 5th match in a row that went to 5 sets! Poland and Cuba move on to the semis to face Russia and Brazil , Iran now has to battle for 5th place alongside China Argentina and Canada.Comment

Mentality is the issue. Our senior team has the same issue. They understand tactics and have very good ability, but they don't know how to hang on to momentum or hold onto leads. Clutch situations are really tough for them.Originally posted by Ejdeha View Post
