On a positive note, Iran sending U23 to Asian Championships is what Japanese did sometime ago in Asian Football. It adds tons of experience, and only Iran can afford doing that right now in Asian Volleyball. Our success in Volleyball is based on youth, roots and built up at junior levels. Something our Football is lacking since the very beginning.
Some of these young men, will be assets for senior team, that's for sure.

Yeah but Asian Championship is a very prestigious tournament, there are so other tournaments for gaining experience , from what I see we lost an Asian trophy here. and you should know these kind of results give confidence to our Asian rivals. back in 2015, Japan first beat our B team in Tehran at the Asian Champs , few weeks later they beat our A team (which was unbeatable in Asia for few years) most of our opponents don't care which team we sent , they claim and believe that they beat Iran.

given the compact schedule that TM has it was the right decision to sent our U 23. They finished 5th which is not back if you think about it. As much as i wanted the title too, but there is a lot of conflict between Asia schedule and FIVB schedule. We have the World Cup in 10 days.

This will help our new players get exposure and carry the team in the future. I think it was a right decision.

which World Cup you are talking about ?
there will be World Championship QUALIFIER in Iran against Asian teams ! China, Korea, Kazakhstan and Qatar.

in a normal situation, top teams usually rest their top players during the World League to use them in continental Championships. we will have World Grand Champions Cup later this year which is still a semi-official competition and top teams usually don't care much about that.
