As expected the officiating was much better in the finals, except the 75kg final, even Russia got robbed against Nemes !
our results were good in general today with 3 bronze medals, we could have at least one gold if that wasn't for biased officiating and some of our own mistakes.
I'm surprised mostly by Abdevali ! he was supposed to be in a very poor shape but after his first match, he beat 3 decent opponents almost easily without giving up a single point !
Nouri also improved a lot here during the day. congrats to him for that surprising bronze and what a comeback by Geraei, he did the same aganinst Chunayev, he is such a fighter. only if he could manage to not giving up easy points
our wresters are luckier tomorrow with the draw but I highly doubt Eliasi and Ghourehjili can win medal here, just not in that level. almost the same goes to Mardani, he is a bit better, still not a realistic medal chance. our only chance is Ghaderian tomorrow. but still I hope for more.

This guy basically locks everything for 6 minutes and cautions rain from the sky against his opponents.
Hassan Rangraz analysed well his style, he told that his style fits the rules very well (in terms of hands and head position). However, the same behaviour will lead to cautions for other wrestlers, because you can't defend for 6 minutes.
After seing the 85 final, they basically took a gold from Nouri.
I feel pitty for him, he really had a chance in final. He just wrestled stupid once in the day, which cost him his final.
Abdevali has really the potential to do something brilliant. But this guy needs to learn about new rules and adapt to them, he should really forget about his personal Andimeshk style because he won't succeed by wrestling in that way anymore. If he can't adapt, Geraei will take his spot, especially under new rules about weight-in.

About freestyle, good question. The natural captain is Reza "Palang Juybar" Yazdani.
But since he is still in recovery period, I would say either Hosseinkhani or Ehsanpoor. Probably the former one.

So Elyasi (66 kg) won very important match against European bronze medallist Daurov (BLR).
He needs to absolutely win at least the next round against Stas from Bulgaria to remain alive. Difficult match.
Mardani (59 kg) also won against UZB. He seems very familiar with the rules, which is a good point as much points come from cautions.
Next is Turkey, then probably Kor and then KAZ.
Both have a not that complicated draw as main favourites are on the other side. But Elyasi's opening rounds are definetely the toughest part of his job.

I wasn't expecting anything from him. He was really bad last year.
He may go to repechage but I don't think that he can get a medal.
What a pitty that Taheri is injured, we could even get gold with him.
It is safe to say that team title is over now. This morning we had 28 points while Russia had 30.
But today Russia have good wrestlers in all weights.
