And Ghaderian lost also in repechage to Sweden, the same guy against which he lost in first round last year !
This guy sucks big time.
We had a golden chance to get the team title as 2 Rusians have been eliminated (including double Olympic champion Vlasov) !
But now we won't score that much, even if we get 2 bronzes which will be hard, Russia will still probably finish first and us 2nd.

Anyway, we got 7 ranked wrestlers out of 8.
Only Mardani got eliminated even though he was good.

I agree, wasn't impressed by Ghaderian, overall very wise decision by GR team to take a very young team there. Many had their first ever World Champs experience.

We didn't expect much from the 2nd day, overall I'm OK with the results . by my calculation 2nd place is guaranteed for Iran and we had a shot for the title. that Salehizadeh-Georgia match cost us 8pts . that one and Ghaderian's poor performance.

both Mardani and Eliasi were great today, these guys had no experience in serious competitions, if they were a bit more experienced I'm sure we would see both of them in the final. this is great to see our Greco is still alive even after the "Golden generation"

and nobody expected anything from Ghourehjili. he was OK and with a bit of luck from the refs he could beat Nabi to stands a chance for medal but we never can win matches by calls like that. we suck in this weight.

Bad news.
Israel will have wrestlers in almost all weights in FR.
I really hope that we won't meet them after the draw.

Again the same center referee, the same story. when there is no technical points , refs will make us the loser , there is no doubt about it. that's a fact in UWW rulebook.

so 2nd place with 3 bronze medals. not a stellar performance but not a disaster.

even if Rasul Khadem, whom I have so much respect for, is now a member of UWW governing board, we get screwed.
I am use to it, as sad as it is, I dont get mad anymore....

Lets hope we kick some a$$ in Freestyle, big test for Mohammad Talaei as the new headcoach in Khadems footsteps!
