Yep. Doesn't matter if they win the world cup 20 times in a row. It is the world champs that shows which country is the boss!

and I believe caring a lot about the world cup costs us a lot, I mean we brought Rahimi and Ghasemi to that tournament when they needed a break after Rio. Rahimi even postponed his surgery because of that which forced to finally withdraw from the trials. World Cup is fine, but we should not put our everything to win that.

I think we won't finish on podium this year. we will be 7h or 8th in team ranking after the 1st day and our chance doesn't look bright for the second day.

Yazdani is a genius but right now he is the only world class wrestler we have !!

He is too old now. A country like Iran doesn't have to send 32 year olds to competitions.
Reza Yazdani was robbed at olympics in rio, and that still hurts...but his time is over now, even if he is in top form, a country like Iran must not send wrestlers of this age to international tournaments, we must always thrive for younger wrestlers as often as possible.

Damesh garm. Did he have to wrestle burroughs on the way to the final?

Burroughs is no longer in his weight class because Yazdani moved up to 86lg. Burroughs is past his prime anyway. Sadulaev who was/is the best wrestler is the world would be in this new weight class but he moved up to 97kg. I would love to see them face off one day.
