i didnt realize they didnt bring their NBA players. Not sure why its still a long time til season starts. It doesnt feel as good if we win now if they dont have their best team.
im glad they are part of Asia now so hopefully it'll raise the level here.

NBA players usually rest 1 or 2 summer in an Olympic cycle, now World Cup is the main Olympic qualifier, they all have to play 2019 and 2020 . I guess they probably wanted to rest this summer after the Olympics.

and I think Asian countries "care" more about winning the Asian title. Australia and New Zealand are not in Asia after all. this is just a tournament for them. I'm sure in time and after some years they will care more about the competition.

btw for the first time we will have home and away format for the World Cup qualification, if we pass our 1st ruond group (which is a sure thing) we will be grouped with Australia in 2nd round. that would be great if they bring their NBA players to Iran. of course that will depend on the schedule and if that specific games conflicts with NBA calendar or not.

Semifinal against Korea at 21.00 local time. I think we're pretty evenly matched up, but if we can hustle on defense and limit the amount of threes they get, we'll definitely win. We're the better rebounding team as well so as long as we play our A-game we'll get to the final! All for TM [emoji1130]
