Damn we suck. Doubt we can beat Aussies.

Bad loss but this was a good physical test for our boys. In Asia no team can handle us physically and that lets us power through even on bad days. Against Australia though, our boys will need to come up with better plans. It's good competition. Our team needs many more games like this.

Well, China can certainely with its main team. It was one of our main problems in 2015, even though circumstances were favourable to them in many aspects.
But we could have a decent chance against such team as you said, if we could at least play few friendlies against such level teams.

Unfortunately it never happens, we only play against third level European teams in WC years generally, in other words each 4 years. Fortunately we could play few interesting matches last year, but federation work is too weak to have regular matches. Even Lebanon could set few friendlies against Turkey B.

It was ok to pick young players in order to developp them for future instead of Samad and Kamrani but what's the point if you don't play them ?
How much time did Dalirzahan, Rezaeifar or Niktash played ? Even Arghavan !

The main players get exhausted by playing always the 6 of them, and today we saw the result. We can really improve on FT, it is a big weakness.
However defense was ok globally (especially in Q3), even though it was very weak at some parts of the game. But this Australia team had a 95 points average of scored points and we didn't allowed such scoring today.

Globally, considering the whole situation and how Bauerman fucked the whole team, this result is very acceptable.
Let's hope that they will stop useless hashieh for once, and focus on good programming. I hope to see Hassanzadeh and Zangeneh in the team soon.

Ugh we really need to start building our basketball. We can be successful with proper planning. Same as our volleyball, futsal, beach soccer & regular TM since CQ joined. We have so much more capability if our stupid govt wasnt involved w everything

still disappointed about the final, we could play better and make it much harder for Australia but I guess our guys were very tired after the semifinal, Korea showed today that they were indeed a very good team. I hope we learn from playing strong teams like Australia, we lost a title but that's actually a good thing for Asian basketball.

I believe we need a better coach but I don't think they replace Hatami, Silver medal was a good result after all. we will have World Cup qualifier in 3 months.

and since nobody mentioned, Jamshidi and Haddadi made the all-tournament team and Haddadi actually won the MVP award !

He left the team in January without approval of IBBF and without any form of compromise.
He had still a contract for several years, but he prefered to join a German team.
What he hid was completely against regulations and IBBF has sued him.

Therefore Iran NT was left without the coach in the middle of the year and Coach Hatami accepted the position.
