Quadrennial FIVB event hosted by Japan, with the continental champions+Japan playing in a round robin system. Tournament is from the 12th to the 17th. The tournament results have no effect on FIVB ranking/qualification for Olympics etc. but they are a good way to asses our current team'a strength.
TM is already in Japan, and today played a local professional team as a preparation match (vs JTEKT, won 3-1). Their first game is against Italy on the 12th, from 3.40 local time.
The games are going to be streamed on FIVB Volleyball's YouTube for international viewers, and you can use VPN's to bypass region locks should that be an issue.
Unfortunately I won't be able to go to the games this year as they are not in Tokyo, but will nonetheless watch every game I can when possible. Let's hope we have a good showing this year!
