Iran started third set with 5:0 ahead and now is 4 points behind 14:18.
Brazil is a world class team and much better than us. We gotta accept this fact!

They won deservingly, world class team.

We got our asses handed to us [emoji23] unlike the first two games, it never looked likely that we would be coming back based on our form. Ghafour wasn't the best, we weren't able to mess up their reception with our serves etc. Onwards and upwards though, we need to beat Japan in straight sets tomorrow! We'll still be on track for a medal.

Yes, Brazil is a good team but they have one loss.

The top teams all have one losses. Iran, on paper, should win Japan. The color of its medal will depend on the last game playing with France which will not be easy. France in the past, has won its games against Iran. Iran can finish in top three if players put their heart and minds into the game.

Japan is hilariously bad this tournament lol, Italy were below par and yet Japan only got a set from them. If we play like normal we will win in straight sets.
We can't afford to mess up if we want to win a medal!

Only one matchday remains, and that is against France.


We have now secured 4th place. We can even grab Gold, if the following results happen on the last matchday:

Iran defeats France
USA defeats Italy
Japan defeats Brazil

Chances of these happening are pretty low (especially Japan beating Brazil), so we can't count on Gold.

However, we will get Bronze if we just defeat France.

Silver is also possible if the USA defeats Italy in addition to us defeating France.

Anyway we really have to defeat France to secure 3rd place (Bronze).
