BTW Pakistan was also my favorite team, haven't seen much these last years. But they had so many good players like Afridi. Unfortunately I was too young to see Imran Khan playing but from the videos I've seen he was a beast. Another player I enjoyed watching was the Sri Lankan Malinga and his unusual pitching style.

As for Iran, obviously the game is popular in baluchestan and even Khorasan. We should follow Afghanistan's steps to become a good nation in cricket. They developed very well within the last 7-8 years. Even though I think it's mostly due to people's mentality which is different from us, Iranians. The game became popular because many afghans are trying to associate themselves to Indians.

I think Afghanistan and Iran Cricket Assoications were setup in the same year or maybe Afghanistan just a few years prior to Iran. They went to World Cup in 2015 and Iran has got no where in Men's team. Although Iran Women's and U-19 are both Tier2 in Asia which is great. Afghanistan women's team has not played official matches.
So in women's cricket Iran is ahead of Afghanistan.

I never liked Test matches. I only used to watch ODI matches. I never watched T20 but I think it is fun to watch. I must say that last time I watched a full ODI cricket match was in 2007 World Cup

      hehehe

Thank you for sharing the video. However based on my personal experience I have to say that in my school years I played Softball and Cricket during PE Lessons and Softball was easier than Cricket. I assume Baseball to be easier than cricket as well.

Also the video comparison is unfair they used a MLB Baseballer and a rookie Cricketer. In cricket bowling is specialised not every Cricketer is a good bowler, so they should have invited a professional bowler to bowl to the baseballer and also another professional cricketer to try baseball hits.

      Conclusion: Cricket > Baseball

Well it's quite sad if both associations were setup at the same time but anyways I don't think many Iranians are interested in cricket so it makes sense.

Yes I reckon test matches can be boring. The worse would be that on the last day due to poor weather they count how many runs the team batting would make in average and the winner is decided that way
