3-3 against Austria is pretty good, they became second in the last edition and are the current European champions.
Actually the 3-3 against Belgium was the bad result, but the game was the second game on that day and played at 10pm.

We are playing South Africa in 20mins, that should be an easy win. If we also win against Russia we will be 1st or 2nd; depends a bit on the other results.

Also why don't we field a outdoor hockey team? we are very good at this level and we could possibly make the olympics in the outdoor version

I guess we do not have the facilities (same for Rugby, American Football, Baseball, Icehockey to some extent). Even in my town in Germany (which is pretty big) we only have 2 Hockey fields.
Another option could be Floorball (a Indoor Hockey variant from Scandinavia); I have seen that we have a team but they did not participate in the Qualifiers this year.

Iran is struggling against South Africa. They where behind 1-2 first half and now leading 4-3. Hope they win

If Austria draws or wins, they will be first. If Russia wins they will become first (or Switzerland if they win, too); in these cases after this day we will be second. If both Switzerland and Russia win, we will be third, but it is very close.

Good job to the boys, we qualified for the quarter finals with one game left!

not a chance. at least in near future, we have India, Pakistan, Korea and Malaysia in Asia, they have a long history in field hockey but we don't. because of lack of facilities we only played Indoor hockey in Iran. yeah they started to do something about outdoor field hockey but still we have a long way to go to be competitive against the top 6 Asian teams.

indoor and outdoor hockey look similar but they are very different, it's like if we compare football and futsal, same basics but still different

as far as I remember, the last time we participated in a serious outdoor hockey tournamnt was 3.5 years ago back in the World League, we sent the same team as our current indoor hockey team. they lost narrowly to Oman (which is 7th team in Asia)
